Male: Can your balls Hurt after sex?

I just had sex for the first time, and i noticed my balls hurt like i have been kicked in the groin.. just the balls and where the balls connect to the scrotum. I was thinking it was because a few times my balls got caught behind that little flap of skin above them.. But not sure.. But they hurt enough for me to take some vikadin for it.
