Is it normal to feel lymph nodes in the groin?

A few weeks ago I noticed a small lump just above my groin on the right side which is about 2cm long. I went to see the doctor about it and he said it was fine and that it is normal to feel lymph nodes, especially in the groin. Its slightly overstocked. I think you should be okay, though, if you have a good filtration system, and you may have to do water changes more frequently. If you wanted to lower the numbers at all, I would lower the corydoras to just 4 instead of 6--but still, I think you'll be fine. They should all get along pretty well, the only thing you may see is some aggression from the gourami to the platies. Gouramis are considered community fish, but the truth is that alot of them have an attitude and may still end up bullying another fish in tank; it is especially true of the Trichogaster species (Blue, Gold, Three Spot, Moonlight, etc) that they can be quite aggressive, so any time you keep one of these gouramis, you take a chance. But it may be worth taking, especially for one as breath-taking as the Pearl. Do NOT keep it with other gouramis. He will be less aggressive if on his own. If possible, choose a female, she may be less territorial. Keep an eye on the gourami when you put it with the other fish....some chasing may be normal at first, as fish establish dominance and territories; however, if it persists and you see a pattern, take that gourami back, because he probably won't let up once he gets his eye on an easy target. One way to avoid this would be to introduce the gourami after the other fish, so he knows his place as the new guy.

What injuries have you gotten?

i have injured myself three times. first i sprained my ankle riding down a hill on my bike and my foot slipped off the pedal and the pedal made contact with my foot and bam it hurt like a you know, it took 3 weeks to heal. second was when i ran cross country when i was in 9th grade i pulled the left side of my groin muscles while running a race it took 2 weeks to heal. my last injury occurred two months ago i was doing to many situps one day and my lower left side of my abs muscle got pulled. it took 7 weeks to heal cause i still had to run track and that prolonged my recovery and i lost my beautiful 6 pack abs cause of it. so all i want you guys to do is to name your injuries, explain what happened, how long it took you to recover from this injury and how it effected you. thanks!!!

I'm not really sure if I may have a yeast infection. My girlfriend got one several months ago, but it appeared as a rash on the inside of her groin. Cpu Fan Temp + Rpm, Maybe a Problem?

I have just finished my first custom gaming build and i am unsure that my temps are 'ok' standard, i have 5 case fans and a cpu fan but my bios says that the cpu temp is 48c which after a quick search of the net showing i should have around 30c idle :/ my fans are showing that the speed is 1130rpm which seems to be low looking at other peoples i'm not sure how to change this so that i can get higher speeds, also the other fans are on 1600-1700rpm, my mobo temp is at 20-23c which i think is fairly ok, just the cpu. should i consider buying buying a new one? btw its not stock its a 'arctic cooler freezer 7 pro'

Help could I have HIV ?

So 3 years back I got my belly button pierced at one of the local tattoo shops. The guy who did it followed all safety precautions. Like he where gloves, washed his hands and made me fill out paper work. The only thing is he didn't open the needle right in front of me. But from where I was standing It looked like everything was coming out of new rappers. After I got done he explained how to clean it and gave me a paper with directions on how to clean it and his card. when we got in the car my sister said that he did it wrong and that she didn't feel he was a good piecer. About three weeks later I came down with a fever and sore throat for about 2 days and 4 days after that I developed 3 mouth sores and burning lips and the inside of my nose would burn. The mouth sores and burning lips came back every mouth for about 4 mouths. The thing that is bugging me is that i swear i have hiv. I have gotten sick a couple of times over the 3 years and I always blame it on the HIV I think I have. I have had blood work done and doctors say everything looks normal. And for a long time I thought I was until today I got up with a swollen glade in my neck and groin and i still blame it on the body piercing i got years back. I have read that nobody in the history of body piercing has ever been infected with HIV. But that doesn't make me feel better. I keep thinking what if he had HIV and gave it to me on purpose or what if he opened all new things expect the needle and used a dirty one just cause. What is this rash i have?

Any stretches/exercises I could try before going to the doctors for a possible hernia?

I'm a young guy (21) and in better than average shape. I train for marathons, eat healthy, do mild weight lifting, and generally stay in shape. Today I was playing soccer with a bunch of friends and I moved quickly one direction and felt like I pulled a groin muscle but when I tried to stretch it I couldn't seem to fix the issue. Now its a good 7 hrs later and my lower right abdomen hurts when I press on it and when I lay on my back. It hurts down into my scrotum a bit too but mostly just above it on my abdomen. I checked everything out and I don't have any bumps or anything like it's a hernia but the location and type of pain match all the descriptions of a inguinal hernia that I have seen. I'm a busy guy and frankly think some doctors in my area are worthless and prefer to self medicate if possible. Does this sound like a hernia even though I'm in good shape? If it isn't a hernia what else might it be? What are some stretches or home remedies I could try for a few days to see if it improves? Also, if I end up having a hernia is surgery going to permanently debilitate me from being a highly active athlete for the rest of my life? I usually don't use yahoo answers for this type of stuff but my other research failed me so, I'd greatly appreciate any advice people are willing to give. Thanks!

I have been experiencing symptoms for the past 6 weeks. It started off when I was woken out of my sleep with upper abdominal pains. I went to the doctor and told me it was acid reflux due to taking pain killers. It slowly went away. In February of 2008 I found a lump on the side of my neck in the near where my jaw and neck meet. I was young and too afraid it might have been cancer so I never told anyone. Futher investigation found small lumps in my arm pits, under my jaw, and a small lump near my groin. They are all about the size of a pea (maybe a bit larger) and have not seemed to have grown. I went to the doctor for a regular visit in 2009 and got a clean bill of health (nothing wrong with my blood test, a regular finger prick, or my physical exam) he didn't mention the lumps nor did I bring them up. Lump Inside My Groin?

There has been a small pea sized lump, maybe a little bigger around the side of groin. hi my son is only 4 years old and last week he was complaining about a sore throat and on saturday the 18th of june i noticed he had a rash on his chest and back, so i called my neighbour over to have a look and within minutes or even seconds of her being over here he had spread to his elbows so in the time frame of me getting him to the hospital in 5 Minutes it had spread to his face behind the knees and the groin. i took him to casualty and i told the doctor how fast it had spread and he could see for him self that it was bad so he looked in his mouth and seen his tonsils had swollen and the rash was pretty severe and he turned around and said it was either a allergic reaction to some thing or viral infection? and i asked them what? and he said i didn't know so they gave him some Prednisolone and phernergan and sent me home. so i got a second opinion and that doctor said the same thing over the phone, now my sister is a nurse and she said i think it's scarlet fever go get his throat swabbed so my sister took him in on the monday 20th of june at 12o'clock and that doctor said the same thing i don't think it's scarlet fever he doesn't have all the symptoms but did you want to do the swab anyway? and she said yes it would put his mother at ease so he did and i get a phone call of the test tonight at 6.30 22nd of june saying his test results came back positive!!!! so the doctor didn't even send him for a swab at casualty where the law is to do some tests and he didn't so if it wasn't for me demanding to get his throat swabbed i wouldn't have known. Now scarlet fever can cause heart problems later down the track and you dint know if it has done any damage to the heart until they get older like 16 years of age so it has taken them nearly four days to put him n antibiotics where they could have put him on antibiotics in 24 hours.scarlet fever is very highly cautious And i have a 2 year old daughter so he on;y hasn't my my sons life at risk he has put my daughters life at risk he had 2 of the symptoms where you dint need all of the symptoms to have it. So please help me me where would i stand i want to sue them after them misdiagnosing him for the wrong thing and not doing anything about it at all until i had to demand it where i shouldn't have done that at all. My advise to you is to ask ahead of time if you can stay with your dog right up till the time they prep him for surgery. And if you can be with your dog as soon as he starts to wake up.All you're going to do is stay by his head and pet him. You also want to leave him with something that smells like home for his comfort like a clean blanket to lay his head on overnight.If they tell you you'll be in the way or refuse to allow you in the back to be with him there's a problem they don't want you to see so find another vet to do this surgery. You don't take your kids to the hospital and hand them to a nurse and leave till they tell you to come get them so don't do it to your dog. They may tell you this is a simple procedure that will require your dog to stay overnight but it's a huge ordeal for the dog that I discovered has lasting effects on behavior if not handled properly.I'm not suggesting you're going to have the same problems or experiences but why run the risk if you don't have to.

i have had anxiety disorder for the longest time now 6 years and medicine dont work for me i have tried and tried multiple medicines in the past and i have symptoms that come in viscious cycles. it never seems to stop or go away constant worry constant worry about health i always find something wrong wtih me and make alot of doctor visits i get symptoms like lightheadedness,trouble focusing and think i got brain tumor. i also get wobbly legs and shakiness that passes then a new symptom shows up like aches and sharp pains in groin and legs or upset stomach and i always think i have undiagnosed disease. i have had blood work done and get it every 6 months urine analysis as well and had both 1 month ago but i cant seem to ever relax or shake these crazy thoughts any help would be great i mean xanax takes the edge of but the symptoms make me just run wild and i dont know what to do this can last days on end at times i maybe have 5 days a month where i just feel somewhat normal... im 28 male 190 pounds and overall healthy according to doctor good blood pressure but the little things bother me any input would help.. does anxiety symptoms cause physical pain or vica versa? i have looked into this alot but its just debilatating at times. feels like anxiety mimics or plays tricks on the body.

I do know it can be crippling and hard to get control of, so given what you have tried you may need some outside help. Just remember that you are in control either way, so try doing stuff to distract you and make you feel better. Drink a lot of water and try to think of positive things like good or kittens playing with yarn or something. In any case, do your research online about cognitive behavioral therapy because it has been shown to help with very complex psychological and emotional problems. I have anxiety attacks that make me feel like my throat is closing, but I try to calm down, exercise, and realize that it's the fact that I'm freaking myself out and I'm actually okay in reality. How to get rid of hip pain after birth?

I had a baby 6months ago, towards the last month I got bad groin pains. I thought I'd pulled a muscle in that area but my midwife said it was probably Symphysis pubis dysfunction and I was told to rest and keep my legs together during certain activities. I did this but during labour my legs were wide open on stirrups. Since then I have had pain in my left hip and still in the groin area, especially if I pee hard and fast. I can't carry my baby for long or any form of weight. I've been to my doctor and keep getting told to rest. About a month ago I did carry a lot of laminate flooring up some stairs and now my other hip is hurting too. To top it off my right knee is now in pain, it feels very tight and hurts a lot when walking up stairs. I just don't know what to do, I'm usually a very active person, I've gone from a size 12 to a 16 and its just making me feel down, especially since I can't carry my baby far, I've tried all sorts of carriers but still in pain. please read and be serious.. im 28 male with gad and have notice over the past years with my anxiety disorder that i feel frequent urge to urinate and discomfort almost like uti and get little pricks of pain in groin and pelvic area.. is there a link to ibs and anxiety here are my symptoms.. i get cramps and pain in groin/pelvice area, increased gas and straining farts and bowel movements feels better or relieved after i go to urinate or have bowel movement. my stools change and is constipated in morning not all mornings but most. some foods i eat make my stomach bloated and naseau. with my disorder i always think the worse like bladder cancer or some serious illness. i notice i pass gas more than i used too. i have had urine test and blood work done every 6 months and said all normal if it is normal why do i get pains and discomfort?

Ok im male, 27 and training to be a physio and I dont mind assessing and giving most of the treatments but when it comes to giving massages theres one thing i hate..but I cant point out why I just do the only thing i can liken it to is being squemish. Basically you know those moles that some people get on the skin? I hate touching them even if they are flat. I was treating a young woman's back by massaging (she had a trapezius problem), she had a lot of those moles all over and I hated touching them. I just wish people would stay out of the sun lol. Okay so I am 15 years old. I had sex for the first time two weeks ago. I used a condom. But the condom broke. 2 Days later the inside of my vagina became really itchy and sore. And had some weird discharge. As well as sore lymph nodes in my groin. I thought it was a yeast infection so i got some medication for it.
